Located in the Mississippi River Delta Region at the junction of state highways 49 & 61 near Lula, the Delma Furniss Hospitality Station opened in September of 2004 after a two-year archeological dig. The area abounds with Native American artifacts, and our center sits on a very historically significant site. The center shows a film about its history and the archeology dig in which over 10,000 artifacts were found dating back several thousand years and include two different time periods. Shards, arrowheads and other artifacts are displayed along with pertinent information.
