Moon Lake is a 2,300 acre oxbow lake located outside the mainline Mississippi River levee in Coahoma County - about 15 miles north of Clarksdale, MS. There is public access for boating & fishing, as well as great spots for bird watching!
There are 3 public boat launching ramps at the Lake. The first is the McMillan Boat Launch off of Moon Lake Road. The second is the Moon Lake Park Boat Launch, and the third is Moon Lake Landing. Fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and birdwatching are all available activities at the lake. Moon Lake Park and Moon Lake Landing both have public picnicking areas with covered picnic shelters and public toilets. If you’re hungry after a long day on the lake, Uncle Henry’s is open.
